Dallas came to me back in April with an existing tattoo that he was not too sure about. He got it 5 years back and they didn’t quite get the style he liked. Dallas and I talked about a few cover-up ideas and I pushed him to keep the existing piece and expand around it to make it what he always wanted. . . We set some dates for mid July and got to work. He wasn’t able to make the initial drawing session, so he showed up and loved what I had come up with. This one was tricky. Not because of the subject, the existing tattoo, or his wants. But because I came up with design after design that I loved. Haha. I had to stop drawing and hope he would like at least one of the designs. And, sure enough, he loved one that involved a Godmask up top and surrounding his existing tattoo with a couple beasts at the bottom. We decided not to go too low on the arm, so this particular design fit that very well. . . Dallas showed up for his 2 day session block with snacks in hand, and ready to kick back and relax in my new tattoo table. . . Day 1 went well, we drew the design on, made a few modifications to the symmetrical design I planned and made it fit his arm a bit better. We made some great progress. . Day 2 we were ahead of the game and already had some of the bold lines in place. So we picked up where we left off and completed the bold lining. He still had plenty left in him, so I began to shade the mask with some dot-work designs. - I think we were both ready. To call it by the end of that. . . Thanks for tHe trust.
