Matt came back to Salt Lake City, UT USA for another round of Nordic Tattoo Fun. We were up against a deadline for the next Noridic Tattoo publication from NorthernBlack. We found some time in the heat of the summer with smoke in the air; right against the deadline... But we managed to make the most of it. . This Session Block, we extended his second sleeve onto his inner arm with a crawling beast and down to his hand by adding Gungnir; Odin’s spear. We added some knot work to fill the gaps between. . Matt, a longtime client and great guy, simply asked for a #godmask #berzerker so a bear head on the Godmask, symbolizing his love for frenzied battle; in this case its roller derby. (Yes, men do it too) And then Gungnir and something with teeth… I think we accomplished this with this epic sleeve. . Matt has a full sleeve of my Nordic work on his other arm, and sat like a champ during these two back to back days full of dot after dot of various size. . The Session Blocks of 2 and 3 days allows the creativity to flow un an uncrushed manner. Allowing us to complete more than we could if the days were spread-out over months. It seems daunting, but the way we do these sessions is manageable for most; and has been a very affective method of application of larger tattoos. . What do you think?
